Chuy Ramirez will be taking part in the 2010 LA Latino Book Festival this October 9th-10th. A list of attending authors can be found on the LA Latino Book Festival website. Chuy will be taking part in the author panel, Beginning, Middle, and End, The Art of the Short Story at 12pm on Sunday, October the 10th. He will be joined by other panelists Jenny Hicks, moderator ( Cal State L.A.), Stephen D. Gutiérrez, Thelma Reyna, Stella Pope Duarte, and Alex Espinoza.
Actor, Edward James Olmos is the Co-Producer of Latino Book & Family Festival. This festival is held in various heavily populated Hispanic cities in the United States. The weekend promotes culture, literacy and education.Launched in 1997, the Latino Book &Family Festival was first held in Los Angeles to provide an opportunity to celebrate multicultural literature to communities in the United States. The Latino Book Festival is being hosted in Chicago and Los Angeles currently, but in 2011 there are plans to bring the Festival to Texas.
